Anyone can join and rehearsal will be at 2:30pm in the sanctuary.
Voting/Delegates (From our Bylaws, I - VOTING):
In all matters submitted to the Fellowship for consideration, voting representation shall be determined on the following basis: an active member church shall be entitled to three voting delegates (for example, the May Annual Meeting and Special Meetings).
Guest Speaker
Our special guest speaker will be Rev. Stan White, formerly of Preston City Congregational Church.
REV. STAN WHITE is the Minister Emeritus of The Preston City Congregational Church, having served the congregation for 36 years. Prior to moving to Connecticut in 1985 he served as Associate Minister at Union Congregational Church in Braintree, Massachusetts for 7 years and was ordained to Christian ministry in 1984 with support from the Mayflower Association of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches.
Stan has been a life-long Congregationalist, being baptized in the Congregational Church as an infant. Although he enjoys worshipping in other Protestant churches from time-to-time, he is always drawn back to his roots, the freedom of worship offered by the Congregational Way.
His undergraduate study was Music Education, studying Piano and Voice at Barrington College in Rhode Island. He continues to use his musical talents in worship today. In 1987, he founded the Preston Community Chorus, an 85-voice volunteer chorus comprised of singers from all around Southeastern Connecticut. He served as its musical director for 11 years.
Rev. Stan retired from active church ministry in 2024, but offers pulpit supply for churches when needed. Today, Rev. Stan resides in Norwich, CT and Palm Bay, Florida during the winter months.
Rev. Stan is forever grateful to the Fellowship for all it has done for Preston City through the years, especially approving a sizeable loan for the construction of a two-story addition which includes additional Sunday School classrooms, a meeting room and music office, as well as restrooms and storage areas. The Northeast Fellowship of Congregational Christian Churches is a wonderful resource for all of our member churches.
